
On March 31, 2019, Karen Pollack, Director of Community Relations at Springhouse, was a guest speaker at the Harvard College Alzheimer’s Buddies Symposium. This was interdisciplinary conference on Alzheimer’s Disease. Her topic was entitled “Best Practices of Caregiving.” The Keynote Speaker was Dr. Kirk Daffner from Harvard Medical School. He was joined by Moderator, Meredith Vieira and Alice Bonner, Senior Advisor in Aging for Institute for Healthcare Improvement and Former Massachusetts Elder Affairs Secretary.
The Harvard College Alzheimer’s Buddies have been coming to Allen House at Springhouse for four years. This program was coordinated by Karen Pollack and Jeffrey Robbins, LICSW at the Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The Harvard College students come to Springhouse every Sunday during the academic year. Congratulations to Karen for a great presentation.
