Wednesday, May 9th Springhouse Senior Living held a benefit for the women of Rosie’s Place. We painted white mugs for the moms at Rosie’s Place. In addition, we collected donations of regular and travel size toiletries like shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant, lotion, soap, lip balm, brushes and combs, feminine hygiene products and new or gently used towels.
The toiletries along with the mugs were dropped off at Rosie’s Place just in time for Mother’s Day!
Rosie’s place was founded in 1974 as the first women’s shelter in the United States. Their mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that helps poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives.
